Day 6: Bone working

My first real attempt at working with bone and as i wanted to stay as authentic as possible I have cut the bone with a saw then carved with a knife and filled the carved area with dried powdered alder bark which was then oiled in place. I have still to wipe clean the excess powder and maybe sand a little which will clean it up a lot.
This is a strap end and as direct a replica as I could manage both in design and dimensions.
